I reallize this isn't too thrilling of a coin, but could someone help me identify it? This 1935 Liberty half dollar appears to have a (gold ?) edge that I don't really know the signifigance of. Why would this be minted with a different edge?

It appears to be a standard walking liberty half dollar that someone plated the rim. Every now and then you will see the gold plated liberty or sometimes you will see the eagle etched out and made into a pendant.

It's like those gold plated state quarters that you see QVC hawk.

Could have spent some time riding in a bezel, and a little gold rubbed off?

Hardly believe its worth any extra. About $3.38 or so.
